Special Congratulations to our PS Olympic Trials Swimmers
Pacific Swim is honored to have had three members of the PS family swimming in this year’s Olympic Trials.  Whitney Spence, Erin Yamamoto, and Eddie Erazo.  Eddie made finals in Fly and finished 6th overall (WOW)! All three swimmers swam with PS and moved through the different levels and groups.
We are planning a one-day swim clinic with these three remarkable swimmers.  We have not yet set a date for the clinic but it will be announced very soon.  Please make every effort to attend no matter what day and time it takes place.  It is a very rare treat to spend time in and around a pool with such a high caliber of swimmer like Erin, Whitney, and Eddie.  – Thank You

The last chance FAST swim meet is this coming weekend.  All JO times achieved at this meet will count towards the upcoming LC JO’s.  If a swimmer achieves a new SC JO while attending this meet, parents will need to visit the computer room and see Mrs. Mary Redmond.  She will verify your new JO cut and enter your swimmer into the upcoming JO meet.  Please make sure you have a form of payment with you (Check or Cash Only).  She will not accept any IOU’s!  Payment and entry must be completed prior to leaving the meet the day the time is achieved.  Please be prepared when you arrive.  There will be nothing the swim office or PS can do to enter you once you leave the FAST meet.

Team assignments for FAST:

Tarps:    Bell Family – Please take 3 PS Team tarps to the meet                 Saturday
                Barker Family – Please take 2 team tarps and the                         coaches’ tarp to the meet Saturday

                Riley Family – Please return all 4 large team tarp from                 the meet Sunday
                Scherschel Family – Please return 1 team and the                         coaches’ tarp Sunday

Officials:    Any PS Official that has a swimmer attending and wants to help with officiating. – Thanks

The date is set for July 24th – July 27th, 2008.  The meet will be held at UCSD Aquatic Center in La Jolla, CA.  To enter this meet the swimmer must meet the qualifying times for each event, stroke, and distance they wish to swim.  Swimmer may qualify using SC JO times or LC JO times from July 27th, 2007 to current date only! Please plan to attend this meet if you have a qualified swimmer, be sure to let us know if you are not planning on attending!  

The JO team dinner will be held for all qualifying swimmers and families on July 23rd at Rancho Arbolitos Tennis and Swim from 6:30p to 8:30p.  If there are any parents who wish to help plan this fun event please contact Gary@psswim.sdcoxmail.com and let him know you can help.  

JO Dinner will be Pot Luck Buffet: (Food items should feed around 20)
If your last name starts with the letter A~K  (Bring a main course food dish something that represents your family heritage would be fun!)
If your last name starts with the letter L~R  (Bring a salad item – Be clever with your choice!)
If your last name starts with the letter S~Z  (Bring a treat – something fun to share after we eat!)
All families are going to bring what they wish to drink.  PS will provide all cups, plates, forks, spoons, etc.  PS JO swim caps will be on sale for $6.00.  Caps are the same as last year so if you happen to have one please feel free to wear it at the JO’s.  We realize this is a little different from our usual JO dinner.  Our decision to hold this type of venue comes from the overwhelming input of our team to keep things in a cost perspective.  As always all family members are welcome to attend.  Please remember that we are guests at RA and we should treat the facility with respect. – Thank You
