Mission Statement
Our mission is to have our swimmers enjoy a positive experience at
every level, from learning to swim to our highest level senior gold
group.
To have a nationally recognized aquatics program that
teaches and trains all levels of swimmers emphasizing individual
progress, team unity and family participation. The PS program is
characterized philosophically by the principles of self image
philosophy. This discipline is concerned with guiding and directing
individuals towards maximum development of their talents and
abilities. The coaches endeavor to teach, train and motivate all
the young people to achieve their ultimate potential in swimming,
in the belief that this experience will prove valuable to them as
they grow and develop.
Our program is "Athlete Centered, Coach Driven and
Administratively Supported".
The PS program strives to instill in young swimmers an
understanding and appreciation of such concepts as high self
esteem, personal accountability, self discipline, goal setting and
goal achievement as these ideas relate to their success in training
and competition. We strive for excellence at every level at the
same time creating a positive experience for all.
Pacific Swim Lessons
“Simply the best swim lesson program in
town!”
We guarantee that your 3 year-old will swim in 3 months, or they
will swim for free until they do! We have made thousands of
swimmers watersafe in the past 23 years. A watersafe swimmer
can jump in, swim approximately 10 feet in deep water, tread water
to rest,and then turn around and swim back to the wall.
Pacific Swim Team
Our developmental program is the perfect place for our new swim
team swimmers to perfect their strokes and further their skills,
while participating in fun meets where they all win medals and
ribbons. AS they grow stronger and more skilled, they move up
through the groups. Our younger 12 & under Blue Group has
broken all the San Diego relay records, and swimmers in this group
have ranked in the top 3 relay and individual events in the county
for many years..
Pacific Swim team graduates have attended Olympic Trials in 2000,
2004 and 2008. Our graduates have received scholarships to
UCLA, Harvard, Rice, USC, Stanford, Berkley, UC Irvine, the Naval
Academy, UC Davis and many other great schools to further their
education.
